Happy New Year Everybody! I hope you had pleasant and relaxing Christmas break.
As you can see, I keep a bit of holidays with me on this beautiful island of Tenerife, in Spain.
On my side, during the break, I completely disconnected and enjoyed as much as possible family times.
Now it is time to reconnect, fully charged and motivated as ever to build a more liveable world.
In this video, I’d like to share with you some thoughts about my plans for 2021.

New year, new format.
Last year, I spent lots of time to write my book.
I am so proud and excited to announce that I am now moving to the edit phase with an expected publication date around March this year.
It is just a year after I started to write the first line of this book.
This year, I want to try videos to communicate and engage with the mobility community.
As part of my yearly good resolutions, I like to think about one keyword that will drive me throughout the year. The last one was “Sharing” which is why I wrote a book. For 2021, it will be “Action!”
Covid-19 has pressed for us the “Great Reset” button.
We are living a one-time period in the human history to do better.
Let’s enhance what worked well, improve what did not.
Building a more liveable world that we will be proud to pass on the next generations, my kids, your kids, will require more than Zoom calls.
This is why I would like to share 3 projects I’ll be working on for the next 345 days, hoping one of them may interest you and be the starting point of a nice virtual coffee chat together:
- Project number 1: Bricks and Mobility
We have seen a rise of micromobility and pedestrian infrastructure as well as the discussion on the “15-minute city”.
Those new trends will make the real estate industry, what we call the BRICKS, the next Mobility Revolution frontier.
With my Neckermann Strategic Advisors colleagues, we will explore the relationships between mobility and buildings.

- Project number 2: Smart mobility for islands
During my travels, I noticed the lack of smart modes of transport on islands such as the one I am here today, Tenerife.
It’s a shame!
Most of them have similar characteristics such as dense areas packed with tourists without personal transport and nice weather (ok perhaps not Channel Islands).
It’s the perfect cocktail for shared scooters, bikes and mopeds. This is one of the reasons why I am in Tenerife at the moment to explore with local investors and entrepreneurs how we could turn the Canary Islands into a world leading example of smart mobility for islands.

- 3rd project: Leading the EMEA and North America Young Professional Teams from the International Road Federation
The International Road Federation (IRF) is an organisation that accelerates access and sustainable mobility for all.
I’ll have the great honour to lead the EMEA and North America branch of the Young Professionals programme.
It is a prestigious global network of young leaders and specialists in the road and mobility sector to propose initiatives, share ideas and engagement with the overall activities of IRF.
