Welcome to my website!
My name is Frederic John and I am a Senior Mobility Consultant.
I am passionate about everything that can be driven or piloted. During a cold evening in December 2017, I decided to pursue my dream: help to build a more liveable world through new modes of transport.
After a couple of years of consulting experience with Deloitte, I started an MBA at Imperial College London.
I met Lukas Neckermann, one of the smart mobility pioneers and a world-class mobility strategist. Working for and with Lukas elevate my comprehension of the mobility landscape and my network to a level that very few people in the world can boast of having.
Through 4 actions, I ambition to revolutionise the way we live and move:
Consulting: I advise firms on the strategic impacts of new mobility and smart city trends;
Writing: I deliver cutting edge pieces of research to feed the industry with new insights;
Sharing: through public speaking, mentoring and lecturing, I share my vision, knowledge and experience about mobility;
Impacting: I conduct initiatives to bring sustainable impacts for our Society. That is why I lead the exclusive Young Professionals program community from the International Road Safety organisation based in Switzerland.
The keywords that drive me are innovation, sustainability, entrepreneurship and partnership.
I am always keen on meeting new people and discussing my passions. Feel free to reach out at hello@Frederic-John.com

Passions
I fly
Proud grandson of a UK RAF fighter pilot during WWII, I have always dreamed about flying. When I was 19, after having the chance to experience a flight test, I started the demanding but exciting training to be a private pilot. Today, I regularly fly and capture as well as share exceptional moments.
I jump
Based on a (stupid?) bet with a friend, I went a few years ago in the South of France to pass a sky diving license. After a week full of emotions, I am proud to be able to jump alone out of a plane in safety. It is absolutely unnecessary but I love it.
I dive
Always looking for new sensations, I undertook a PADI scuba diving license to discover some of the most beautiful Tresors of our planet.
Objectives
My objective is to accelerate and facilitate the development of smart mobility services to improve people’s life. Driven by my values – innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainability – I go beyond my consulting responsabilities through 4 actions leading me to eventually making an impact that matters for the industry I am passionate about. This 4-step approach allows me to progress with a coherant, complete and integrated strategy for my career.
Research
A major part of my consulting role is dedicated to pushing one step further the boundaries of what we know about mobility. Through surveys, interviews, readings and speeches, I process daily a significant amount of information to deliver unique contents for our clients. Elevating my expertise, I gain credibility and influence to drive my other commitments.
Share
Making a sustainable impact on the mobility industry also goes through the education of the next generation of professionals. I deliver lectures and workshops to MSc and MBAs about the smart mobility and smart city industries to understand the related key challenges, opportunities and how to translate this ecosystem into concrete outcomes for young graduates.
Speak
Creating innovative knowledge is great but being able to share the main findings with the industry to accelerate the Mobility Revolution is probably one of the most rewarding achievements than I can expect. Being vocal about my vision and experience of the industry is an essential step of my action plan.
Impact
To impact is the most important action and the ultimate objective of my strategy. I translate to the best I can the knowledge and expertise gathered into concrete, tangible and meaningful actions. To support this initiative, I run this blog, joined the WEF, mentor start-ups (pro bono!) and undertake many other activities to support the Mobility Revolution.
